Favorite Healthy Cooking Blogs.....
Are you stuck in a eating rut? Are you eating the same unhealthy foods over and over? Look for food inspiration!
There is so much information on the internet. I have spent countless hours looking for anything to help keep me on track with my health and fitness goals.
When weight loss stalls, or I start to feel like I'm heading off the tracks, I head back to do some more research on whichever area I am struggling in. If I am getting sick of the same old food, I head to look for some new exciting recipes. If I need fitness motivation, I head to Pinterest and scope out "fitness motivation". Learn and DO! I have learned a TON from other people on similar journeys.
Look around these blogs and take a few nuggets to add into your own life. Not every tip that people offer will work for you! Take the meat and spit out the bones. Find even just one new thing to try.
BLOG 1:
http://www.organizeyourselfskinny.com/
I love this blog because there are so many ideas for meal prepping and planning. She also has some great recipes...check out the Mason Salad Jars. MMMM.
BLOG 2:
http://www.skinnytaste.com/
The Skinny Taste gal just gets it. She has been overweight. When she was ready to lose the weight she struggled finding "healthy recipes" that actually tasted good. I have made many of her recipes and never been disappointed. I also own her cookbook! She focuses on making meals as clean as possible with wholesome ingredients.
BLOG 3:
http://www.emilybites.com/
Emily is a master at creating healthy, tasty recipes. She puts the Weight Watcher Points values and calorie count with all her recipes. Her recipes are quite creative and do not taste "diety". I enjoy trying her new recipes!
Happy Cooking!

CHOOSE YOUR HARD....
When I finally decided that enough was enough, I happened to hear someone say...."CHOOSE YOUR HARD".
Those words ring in my ears often. What was hard about being overweight.....ummm....let's see. Clothes don't fit. Going to the beach. Can't breathe when you bend over. Being so out of shape that you can't do what you dream of doing. The list can go on and on.
I had every excuse in the book of why I couldn't lose weight.
Some of my favorite excuses that I held onto for years---
slow metabolism
too expensive
no time to workout
I'll fail anyway
too much work to plan meals
no support
When it all comes down to it. I decided to CHOOSE MY HARD. I'd rather give up TV time, so I can workout and feel strong. Now it's easier to breath when I bend over, so I'm glad that I bought that fitness program and found some time to do it. I will look forward to beach weather now because it actually isn't THAT hard to find 30 minutes to get good and sweaty.
It all comes down to the CHOICE.
Only you can make that choice.
What do you decide?
